Is The Plot Of BILL & TED 3 Bogus?

Keanu Reeves reveals the conflict in the still-gestating BILL & TED 3.

It looks good for Bill & Ted 3. While the film doesn't yet have funding it has stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter aboard, and now it has added Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot at the helm. And best of all, it has a story that sounds pretty compelling. It picks up from the end of the criminally underrated gem Bil & Ted's Bogus Journey, where we see Wyld Stallyns changing the future of the human race.

Here's Keanu explaining it to GQ:

One of the plot points is that these two people have been crushed by the responsibility of having to write the greatest song ever written and to change the world. And they haven't done it. So everybody is kind of like: "Where is the song?" The guys have just drifted off into esoterica and lost their rock. And we go on this expedition, go into the future to find out if we wrote the song, and one future "us" refuses to tell us, and another future "us" blames us for their lives because we didn't write the song, so they're living this terrible life. In one version we're in jail; in another we're at some kind of highway motel and they hate us.

Bill and Ted have a midlife crisis! I like it. Here's hoping they actually get the money together and make the damn thing.
