Rob Liefeld Live Tweets his Divorce from DC Comics

A guy admired by everyone suddenly acts shockingly unlikable.

Number one Internet favorite comic book personality Rob Liefeld jumped ship from DC comics today after a run that only lasted three months one year. And he did it live on twitter. You can check out the whole thing yourself by reading his feed. But my version is funnier. It starts like this:

"Walking into 2nd screening of Expendables 2 with my boys and their friends!! Should be fun!"

Then without warning, it goes like this:

"Just finished sending my thank you's to DC personnel. Officially got off the DC52 treadmill this morning...
Scott Clark will be replacing me p. Deathstroke. Marat will continue the work on Grifter...I had a great time at DC.
I believe in what DC is doing, but had to preserve my sanity.
I walked off all 3 books. Can't wait to see any attempts to spin. I have every email.
The 0's are my last issues. Thanks for all the love.
This is the 4th time I quit in the last 4 months. This time it will stick.
Never thought the Image section of my book would be topped. This last year was a humdinger. The DC52 chapters will go top all of it.
Reasons are the same as everyone's that you hear. I lasted a few months longer than I thought possible.
Massive indecision, last minute and I mean LAST minute changes that alter everything. Editor pissing contests... No thxnjs"

Then he answers a bunch of people's questions and finishes up with this:

"Van Damme is soooooo good in Expendables 2 -- I have to stop tweeting to watch him agsin"

I haven't been reading any of Liefeld's three DC books, largely because I haven't been reading any of DC's other 49 books either, but also due to my rare low opinion of Liefeld's artwork. I have to admit, though, I like him a bit more now that I know also appreciates Jean Claude Van Damme's awesome Expendables 2 performance.
