Here is a trailer for Quentin Dupieux's Wrong Cops, which I think has half a title and Mark Burnham as Duke in common with Wrong, but nothing else. I suppose the two films both do and don't take place in the same universe since the one constant with Dupieux's work is that he just does not give a shit about the fascism of narrative rules.
We already had a kind of Wrong Cops short film, but this seems quite a bit bigger than that if only due to its expanded cast. I have a very strong feeling that nothing happens and it will be awesome.
I saw Wrong at Fantastic Fest and it was the funniest thing I saw last year (with two exceptions: Four Lions, and that three-picture meme where Liam Neeson gives his Taken speech to a dog). Between that and Rubber, I will basically watch anything Dupieux puts out.
The first 45 minutes of Wrong Cops (known as Wrong Cops: Chapters 1, 2, and 3) is playing Sundance. Which means Devin and/or Meredith could be watching it right now! Speaking of which, why aren't we all having a big, Weird Science-esque party here right now?
