Sam Peckinpah is the latest member of the Badass Hall of Fame (read about that here), so it seemed like a good idea to do an episode of the Badass Digest With Devin Faraci show about him. But how can you do Sam in just one episode (especially when we're talking really short YouTube episodes)? You can't, and so this is part one of the examination of the career of one of Hollywood's greatest ever filmmakers.
Can there ever be too much talk about Sam Peckinpah? I don't think so. One of the things I really like imagining is what Sam would be doing if he were making movies today. The much hated speed-ramping technique seems exactly like the sort of thing that might have interested him. What do you think?
