We thought we were going to have to wait until October to see The World's End, the latest Edgar Wright movie and the continuation of his collaboration with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. That's a really long way off. But we have good news now - the movie is opening earlier. Way earlier! Like two months earlier.
The World's End has been moved up to August 23rd, which means it's one of the closers of the summer. You'll be able to go out with a nice taste of Cornetto in your mouth.
The bummer side of this: I was hoping The World's End might play Fantastic Fest. It would be great to have Edgar and Simon and Nick down in Austin engaging in the usual FF madness. Win some, lose some - but this one feels like a big win.
