There are too many Jason Statham films. It's getting difficult to keep up. Until just now, I had no knowledge of Homefront, which was not only written by Sylvester Stallone but also co-stars James Franco and Winona Ryder.
According to Deadline, the film will be distributed in America by Open Road and should come out on October 4. This gives you a whole quarter year to get over the Stathamness of June 28's Redemption, aka Hummingbird.
Will Homefront be any good? Of course! It will be extraordinary! Stallone wrote it, and James Franco doesn't co-star in just anything. The plot is about "a widowed ex-DEA agent who retires to a small town for the sake of his 10-year-old daughter." Then bad stuff happens. Does any of that sound stock and generic to you? I didn't think so.
Hopefully we get a trailer or an official poster or something for this soon. The best I can find right now is this:
