This looks like it's probably going to be one of this year's big family films. It is about a movie that many people love. It includes a massively charming and fun looking Tom Hanks. And it involves historical figures in a largely unknown true story.
As for me, I grew tired of it halfway through. While I love Emma Thompson, her stern caricature is all out of tricks by the 30 second mark. And that's before the trailer takes a nosedive into pop-psychologyville.
On the other hand, this does appear to have a stellar support cast. And Hanks looks good in a mustache. And it will probably make a nice double feature with Finding Neverland. And… that's it. I'm out.
