My Dad Shows Interest In Playing Lex Luthor
A lot of names have been thrown around regarding Zack Snyder's Batman vs. Superman, not just in search of a new Batman, but for Superman nemesis Lex Luthor as well. Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston has continuously been one of those names. And in an interview with Metro, he even acknowledged his interest in the role:
Give me a call. I like Lex Luthor. I think he’s misunderstood. He’s a loveable, sweet man.
But he's not the only one. Just earlier today I asked my dad what he thought of playing the highly iconic villain. At first he played coy, as though he didn't even know what I was talking about. But when I told him the job would probably offer several hundred dollars a day, as well as some generous meal per diems, he finally changed his tune:
Yeah, sure. I'll do the Lex Lugor.
So there you have it. Much as I like Bryan Cranston and the 1,000 other actors whose names have been mentioned for the role, I wouldn't count my dad out as a contender. He's a super cool guy who's not afraid of walking on the wild side. To prove it, I offer this picture of him hanging out with a macaque:
It should be noted that this is still just conjecture. My dad has neither accepted nor been offered the role yet.
