NEED FOR SPEED Trailer: Aaron Paul Not Smiling Anytime Soon

Crashing cars with apocalyptic self-seriousness.

One way or another, we're all about to say goodbye to Jesse Pinkman forever. But that doesn't mean we have to say goodbye to Aaron Paul. In fact, the promise of his possible impending stardom means we might soon get reacquainted with the fun loving Aaron Paul we all fell in love with in the first place. As good as this last season of Breaking Bad has been, when it comes to Jesse Pinkman it's been like watching an 8-hour long cut of Dancer in the Dark.

The bad news is this Need for Speed trailer appears to have applied epic anger and poetic rage to the car crashing genre, meaning we'll have to wait awhile longer for that charming fun time Aaron Paul film we've all been waiting for.

The good news is that the goofy seriousness displayed here passes right past bad and enters maybe good territory. I don't know why they went with this tone, but Need for Speed seems pretty committed to it. Plus, some of those crashes look swell. It could be a misleading trailer, but now I'm kind of looking forward to it.
