Bloody Good: Check Out American Apparel’s $32 Period T-Shirt (NSFW)
Now that's a t-shirt.
I don't exactly know how to take the American Apparel $32 "Period Power" shirt. If it came from another company - one whose CEO hadn't been sued (unsuccessfully) for sexual harrasment more times than I've had lunch, one whose ads didn't depict naked women in poses that evoke nothing so much as sexual slavery - I would think it was pretty cool, and wonderfully gross. An in-your-face ownership of the biological function that signifies women as the fertile mothers of this world. But it's American Apparel, you know? It's a company that maybe doesn't hate women but is super excited to exploit the shit out of them.
Anyway, a period shirt. I'm going to make the call: it's cool, no matter where it comes from. It's all about how you wear it.
