I could have sworn I wrote up the trailer for Battle of the Damned when it came out this summer, but I can't find it anywhere. Never have I shirked my duties so drastically.
Not every new Dolph Lundgren movie is worth getting excited over, but most of them are. This one has me particularly pumped up. Dolph plays a guy who must break into a town overrun with zombies in order to save some rich guy's daughter. While there, he runs into a bunch of zombie-killing robots. However this all goes down, he'll be aided by a bunch of b-movie faces called The Damned. Something tells me they end up being more expendable than the actual Expendables.
I'm not saying it's going to be good, just that it's something I'm really looking forward to. To help raise excitement, Bloody Disgusting premiered the above badass poster for the film. It's a bit kitschy and affected, but in an ugly enough way that I kind of love it.
And since I somehow managed to not post it when it actually came out, here's the trailer:
Anchor Bay will be releasing Battle of the Damned in America, but I'm having a hard time figuring out when. IMDB claims February 2014. It's already out in a lot of other countries.
