Disney's great new cartoon may have a wink to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' masterwork.

In Frozen Elsa, the Queen of Arendelle, flees her kingdom after accidentally using her hidden frost powers. She runs off to the mountains and, in a spectacularly animated sequence, raises a clockwork ice castle into the skies. As I was watching I couldn't help but think of another clockwork fortress erected by another powerful being who fled his people: Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen.

I wasn't alone in noting the similarities; I forgot all about it until Drew Pearce, screenwriter of Iron Man Three, noted:
