RIP Nelson Mandela
One of the greatest heroes of our age is gone.
Above is video of Nelson Mandela's first television interview, given just before his arrest. He would be imprisoned for 27 years as a result of his battle against the evil apartheid government of South Africa; four years after his release he would become South Africa's first black president.
Nelson Mandela was 95, a ripe old age for a revolutionary leader who shaped the very fate of his nation and our world. I'm sad he is gone, but I'm much more thankful to have ever had him here at all.
