Don Cheadle will once again wear armor in a Marvel Universe movie.

Bleeding Cool is reporting it, I can pretty much confirm it: expect to see Don Cheadle as Rhodey in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I don't know if he's going to be War Machine or Iron Patriot, but he'll be in the movie, and he'll be in a suit of armor.

And that's good news. Cheadle has been a lot of fun as Rhodey (especially in Iron Man Three, where he gets a lot of beats that, in previous films, might have gone to Tony Stark), but he's been relegated to second banana long enough. With Robert Downey Jr looking at the end of his run as Iron Man, Cheadle could be just the guy to fill out the armor, and bring some welcome diversity to Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I think the team needs a vision of inclusion moving forward after this film, bringing heroes into Phase Three who aren't just white males.

Expect lots of The Avengers: Age of Ultron news to hit in the coming weeks, as they get close to production. I'm excited for all the speculation sure to come from casting announcements and tiny leaks. I have a lot of faith that The Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to be fairly amazing.
