AMERICAN HORROR STORY Season 4 Will Be AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW
We learned last week that American Horror Story Season 4 will take place at a carnival, but today series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed via his Twitter that the fourth season's full, official title will be American Horror Story: Freak Show. Although Season 3's Coven started with such potential and then drizzled off into a boring, stakesless puddle of witch reincarnations, I will continue to be excited about a) anything carnival-related until the end of time and b) every new season of American Horror Story, because at least the premieres will always be fun.
I'm really, really pro-carnival. Not just in fiction (though 100% in fiction), but also in life. In fact, fellow BAD guy Noah Segan and I have a pact to one day perish on a rickety carnival ride. We've come pretty close, too!
I love Freaks, I love Carnivale, I love Geek Love, I love corn dogs, I love funnel cake, I love turkey legs, I love those plate-filled piles of chip-thin fries they make by sticking a potato onto a drill. So I'll at least like the first few episodes of American Horror Story: Freak Show. I might even review the first few episodes before silently quitting and hoping no one notices!
