Lego Ninja Movie Thing, NINJAGO, Gets 2016 Release Date

Lego city. Population - Us for the next several years.

It's a Lego world, and we're going to be stuck living in it for a while. Not only is a second Lego movie expected to hit on May 26, 2017, but now we have a Ninjago moving coming out September 23, 2016. As far as I know, there will be no 2015 Lego film, but you never know. They may tape together cut scenes from those video games and put out a Lego Harry Potter or something like that.

Ninjago has actually been in development for a very long time. It will be directed by Tron: Uprising's Charlie Bean with production help from Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller. Bryan Shukoff and Kevin Chelsey are writing.

Ninjago is based on a Lego thing where the Lego people have ninja masks and ninja weapons and fight snake monsters and stuff like that. It's apparently very popular. Here's some little known trivia about the project: The word "Ninjago" is actually just the word "ninja" combined with the word "lego." Pretty amazing, huh?
