COMMUNITY Manages To Not Die Yet Again

This show is like Mr. Magoo walking through a sawmill.

Whenever life gets you down, whenever you feel like you're one bad day from becoming a permanent pessimist, whenever the world is just one giant shit sandwich, remember Community. The show offers powerful proof that the same cold, unfeeling randomness that lets a bird poop on your gyro right as you're about to bite can just as easily provide a buy one get one free day Gyros R Us.

In other words, Community is coming back after all. They killed it at NBC. When Hulu failed to acquire the show as many expected, even the most optimistic among us assumed that was the end. But it wasn't.

Community will be back on Yahoo Screen. No one knows when. No one knows who will return, cast-wise. No one knows what Yahoo Screen is. But the big dogs at The Wrap claim it's the truth. I'd make jokes about what a step down this is for the show, but that would be too mean. Plus, Dan Harmon already beat me to it:

“I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo,” said show creator Dan Harmon in a statement. “I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!”

So there you go. There is magic in this world after all. Well, there's commerce that occasionally works in your favor, anyway.
