The KINGDOM Trailer: DirecTV Finally Gives MMA Its Own Sad Drama Show

I’m not exactly sure who gets to watch DirecTV since I thought it was a service rather than a channel, but if you’re one of those people, then you’re going to have a chance to watch this new exclusive series, Kingdom. It’s about a bunch of sad MMA fighters, one of whom is Frank Grillo.

This trailer seems pretty basic for a new TV drama. You get a nice run through of all the main characters and what their beefs are. It’s a little different, however, thanks to the multitude of F-bombs being dropped, as if to prove that this shit is not going to air on NBC or something. It’s probably the most forced swearing I’ve heard since I saw Sabotage.

But it kind of works. Were I someone with DirecTV, I’d probably watch it once or twice. What about you? I mean, Frank Grillo’s pretty much reprising his role from Warrior. That’s got to be worth something, right?

Kingdom arrives October 8.
