The Weird Way ANT-MAN Ties Into THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Technically The Incredible Hulk is in Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity, despite the fact that they changed actors and the Tony Stark cameo makes so little sense they had to create a specific Marvel One Shot just to explain it away. Banner makes an off-handed mention of The Incredible Hulk's climax in The Avengers, but otherwise it would be easy to just forget that movie ever even happened.
At least until Ant-Man comes out. The next Marvel picture has been shooting on the streets of San Francisco, and Cosmic Book News noticed that there's a soda ad on a wall... a soda ad that will be familiar to The Incredible Hulk fans. Yes, the soda that gets gamma-irradiated and almost kills Stan Lee is being advertised in Ant-Man.
That's a pretty cool Easter Egg, the sort of small bit of cohesiveness that appeals to nerds like us. It's like when Quentin Tarantino throws in a Red Apple cigarette box.
If you want to see the ad, click here. I'm done posting paparazzi set photos because those guys are litigious as fuck.
