Stan Lee Has No Goddamned Idea About Upcoming Marvel Movies

Oh hey, it's another round of "Stan Lee confirms Black Panther movie" stories. For some reason it's usually Black Panther, but I'm sure we can go back and find sites quoting Stan The Man Lee on other upcoming Marvel movies. Here's the truth about Stan Lee:

He has no idea what is happening at Marvel Studios. At all. You probably know more about what's happening at Marvel Studios than Stan does. Stan has nothing to do with Marvel besides showing up for his cameos. He doesn't plan these movies, they don't consult him, and he certainly doesn't read the scripts or anything. He is too busy attaching his name to some new terrible convention or TV show or comic book to even have time to keep up with Marvel Studios.

I feel like I've written about this before, but I can't find it, so I'm just going to reiterate it so everybody has the truth: 

Stan Lee doesn't know a goddamn thing about upcoming Marvel movies. So stop asking him and stop reporting on his good-natured, well-intentioned but ultimately uninformative answers.
