I love The Rock. That’s probably not a secret around here, right? We should all love him. And we should all especially love him when he’s doing comedy. Since the guy appears to be good at everything, it makes sense that he’s also very good at being funny.
The Rock’s been teasing a new movie on his twitter feed for a while now, and today we finally found out what it is: Central Intelligence. Here’s the synopsis:
The story begins with a class reunion approaching, as a former high school sports star turned accountant (Hart) is contacted by a classmate (Johnson) who was bullied and humiliated back in the day. The “loser” that the accountant remembers is now a CIA contract killer who ropes him into helping foil a plot to sell classified military secrets.
I like it! What I’m not so into is Kevin Hart as The Rock’s co-star. There’s just something about Hart that feels like I’m hearing a hilarious guy tell jokes, except there are no actual jokes. He reminds me of this:
Still, I’ll give The Rock the benefit of the doubt. It’s been a while since he really let me down. Even when he makes a Brett Ratner Hercules film it ends up being kind of badass. I mean he throws a goddamn horse, you guys. What will he throw in this film?
