It was recently Leonardo DiCaprio's 40th birthday, so what better time to jump into a discussion of Romeo + Juliet, Baz Luhrmann's sort of Grand Theft Auto: Shakespeare movie. 90s nostalgia is all the rage these days, and I was actually very excited to revisit this film, from a director whose work I unabashedly love. Shakespeare gets adapted a lot, with varying degrees of success, and that's another discussion I was excited to jump into.
Hopefully this episode soothes the ears of some of you who have complained that all Amy and I do is fight - we agree sometimes! Of course just because we agree on the movie doesn't mean we agree on its canonicity. After all, one of us has to be the nuanced thinker.
