Am I ever torn about this trailer for Free The Nipple, a movie about a hashtag. On the one hand - yeah sexual progressivism and equality! On the other hand - do you really think a campaign to allow women to show their nipples in public is exactly on par with Jesus, Buddha and Gandhi, all of whom get name checked in here? I understand the basic idea behind this movement - it's to combat the way women's bodies are shamed and controlled, as well as to strike a blow against media representation and is a front in the ongoing battle for feminism - but this trailer really makes it seem like the movement is one of the great civil rights campaigns of our time. Maybe it is and I'm just out of touch, but then again I think people of all genders should wear shirts when in public.
