There are two movies with the word "Vice" in the title coming out in January, and one is a brilliantly weird, dazzling, mind-magical ride from one of our generation's great directors, and the other one is this!
There are like a hundred things happening in this trailer, and they are all dumb. I can't quite decide which part is the worst, but I think Johnathon Schaech's sleepy delivery of "You're only going to get deeper in the rabbit hole. There are many ways to flush out a rabbit" might win the day. I've seen this trailer three times now and can't make head nor tails of it. WHAT IS IT ABOUT? Well, here's a synopsis:
Julian Michaels (Bruce Willis) has designed the ultimate resort: VICE, where anything goes and the customers can play out their wildest fantasies with artificial inhabitants who look, think and feel like humans. When an artificial (Ambyr Childers) becomes self-aware and escapes, she finds herself caught in the crossfire between Julian's mercenaries and a cop (Thomas Jane) who is hell-bent on shutting down Vice, and stopping the violence once and for all.
Okay, no, I'm still not sure what it's about.
