George Lucas Says Disney Did Not Use His Ideas For STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

I think we can all agree that's for the best.

George Lucas did some brainstorming on Episode VII before passing on the property to Disney, and when Disney bought the rights to the franchise, they also apparently inherited those ideas. But, according to Lucas in an interview with CinemaBlend, JJ Abrams and co. opted not to use those ideas:

The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn't really want to do those. So they made up their own. So it's not the ones that I originally wrote.

I think that's probably okay, right? Fresh blood means fresh blood, and I don't blame the Disney creative crew for wanting to start anew with their own ideas.
