I suppose whatever Alejandro González Iñárritu does next is going to be a big deal after Birdman. But it still helps if the movie sounds cool. Luckily, The Revenant sounds a little cool.
Apparently, The Revenant is based on a novel by Michael Punke which in turn is based on the true life story of Hugh Glass, a guy who gets beaten up by a grizzly bear, betrayed by his pals, and sets out for revenge. Hopefully all in one afternoon.
Always on the gimmick game, Iñárritu will utilize only natural lighting and remote locations for The Revenant. This means they can only film about fifteen minutes each day. So we should see this film sometime after the new Star Wars trilogy gets its first big round of Blu-ray amendments.
But to get us excited anyway, EW has a couple photos from the film. They both feature Leonardo DiCaprio looking dirty and pissed.
The Revenant also stars Tom Hardy, Domnhall Gleeson and Will Poulter.
