Sorry, Lee Pace, You Will Not Be In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2

Last week, everyone wrote articles about how Lee Pace really wants to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. This was a result of an interview Pace gave to IGN in which he went on and on about how much he loved the movie and character he played, probably - I think - because he had just seen the last Hobbit movie.

But, as we learn all the time, love has to go both ways. This is why they made He’s Just Not That Into You. In a kind of AMA-type thing and GOTG live commentary on Facebook, James Gunn made it pretty clear that Lee Pace will not return for the sequel. Shut down!

Poor, poor Lee Pace. I really feel for him. If you feel a need to lie to yourself and see the glass as half-full, Gunn didn’t say Pace would never come back. Just that he wouldn’t appear in Guardians 2. As for other films, he’s all “Who knows?” and “Perhaps someday.” Cruel, Gunn. Keeping him on the line like that is just cruel.
