The Canon Episode 16: BLADE RUNNER
This was an interesting episode for me. I wanted there to be an argument - I wanted Amy and I to really come to verbal blows over Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. But we both ended up feeling quite similar: it's not really that good, and the only debate we ended up having was whether it was important enough, cinematically and culturally, to make up for being kind of bad.
I do hope that people actually listen to this episode before voting (they can vote here), because I am interested in a debate that tackles some of the problems that Amy and I have with the film. We recorded this before the new director for Blade Runner 2 was announced, so we don't get into that, but we certainly spend plenty of time on the "is Deckard a replicant?" question, as well as the vital "Who cares?" issue.
As always please subscribe, rate, review and share us with your friends. And keep your ears open - we're about to announce our first live show, so if you are in Los Angeles this will be a cool opportunity to be involved in a taping of the episode.
