Tomorrow night, the good folks at Spoke Art and the lunatics at Trailers From Hell are co-hosting a special double screening of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers at San Francisco's historic Roxie Theater. Both the '56 and '78 versions of the film will screen, and then Philip Kaufman (director of the '78 version) will join Sam Hamm on the Roxie stage for a post-screening Q&A. Pretty cool event!
But wait, there's more: Spoke Art's bringing two new posters with 'em, one for each of the films. The first - which has already debuted elsewhere - is for Don Siegel's 1956 original, with artwork courtesy of David Moscati. Here's the details on that:
Invasion Of The Body Snatchers ('56) by David Moscati
24x36" / Signed And Numbered / Edition of 100
The second print, for Kaufman's '78 update, was put together by Chuck Sperry, and looks like this:
Invasion Of The Body Snatchers ('78) by Chuck Sperry
21x32" / Signed And Numbered / Edition of 150
If you're interested in attending tomorrow night's screening (pro-tip: if you get the chance to see Invasion Of The Body Snatchers on the big screen with Philip Kaufman in attendance, you damn well take it), I got good news for ya: tickets are still on sale! Pick up a pair and/or learn more about the screening over at this page.
