We knew Daniel Brühl would be appearing in Captain America: Civil War, and most of us were pretty sure who he was playing - Baron Hemut Zemo. Well now we don’t have to be just pretty sure. We can be ugly sure.
In an interview with The Independent, Brühl finally let the cat out of the bag. He was cast in the film way back in November, so it’s kind of amazing it took this long for a confirmation, though Brühl does mention the possibility of being thrown into Marvel prison for spilling the beans. That might be a prison worth visiting.
Hemut Zemo was all over the place in the comic version of Civil War. We don’t really know if he’ll work both sides the same way in the movie, though I’m doubting the comic will be followed with any kind of slavish devotion. These Marvel movies do what they want and make it look like the best idea ever.
Captain America: Civil War comes out May 6, 2016.
