Get Married On The Alamo’s Dime
Austin, TX – Tuesday, April 28, 2015 – Marriage. One of the biggest decisions of a person’s life. An event that requires careful consideration and planning. But, for those ready and/or willing to throw that all out the window and make the biggest commitment of their life in the least-responsible-yet-most-entertaining way possible, the Alamo Drafthouse is pleased to announce an out-of-this-world opportunity: The AREA 51 / DRUNK WEDDING Instagram Video Contest.
To celebrate the upcoming releases of DRUNK WEDDING (in theaters beginning May 22nd) and AREA 51 (in theaters beginning May 15th), we dreamed up an audacious concept where one lucky winner and a guest get a round-trip Las Vegas vacation where they’ll be wined, dined and, by the end of the night, HITCHED and whisked off to a tour of Area 51!
That’s right, contestants must actually be wiling to get MARRIED in Las Vegas –not to mention potentially have an alien encounter – so this contest is not for the faint of heart.
To participate, entrants just need to create an Instagram video telling us why they should win, using hashtag #Area51DrunkWedding and tagging @Drafthouse. Videos must be posted by May 18, 2015, at 11:59 PM CST.
Winners will be chosen by a panel of Alamo judges. Entries will be judged equally for both creativity and entertainment value. (Videos must not contain sex, nudity or violence)
All participants must be 21 years or older to win (including the guest/bride- or groom-to-be). Participants must be willing to get married.
The winner will be announced May 20, 2015 on the Alamo Drafthouse Blog & Instagram- drafthouse.com/blog.
