It looks like Eli Roth’s long-awaited cannibal film, The Green Inferno, is finally going to see the light of day. Blumhouse BH Tilt (a label from Blumhouse Productions) will release the film into around 1,000 theaters on September 25.
The film was supposed to come out at almost exactly that time last year, but was removed from release schedule due to boring business stuff that has nothing to do with cannibals eating people’s guts. That should, however, give you an indication of how long this movie has been waiting for release. You can read Devin’s review from two years ago here.
While Eli Roth has certainly been busy, this’ll be his first film in theaters since 2007’s Hostel Part II. Actually, 2015 is now a relative embarrassment of Eli Roth riches since his other new movie, Knock Knock, comes out this year as well.
