Today we've got a red-band trailer for Jonathan Levine's The Night Before, the latest in the storied "Men are irresponsible on Christmas" sub-genre.
While nothing here screams originality, I like that Rogen's compatriots have been updated with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie. I like that, unlike the name-dropped This Is the End and The Interview, this isn't just about white dudes. I like that Jonathan Levine's directing, and that the completely great Jillian Bell has a big role. I like that the goofy pop song of The Interview, Katy Perry's "Fireworks," is now bumped up to the superior "Wrecking Ball," by Miley Cyrus.
And I like that it's a Christmas movie. Who doesn't like Christmas movies?
