ARROW Season 4: A Visit From John Constantine And A New Arrow Cave
This week we've got some news about Arrow's upcoming fourth season, which will feature a lot of changes from form after the events of the Season 3 finale.
First: Matt Ryan's John Constantine, recently portrayed in NBC's quickly canceled Constantine, will be hanging out with Oliver in the fifth episode this season. Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle says:
[It] was born more out of the storyline for Sara Lance. We needed someone to come in and help bring her back. He felt like the most exciting possibility and we’re just thrilled to get him. He brings such a different element to the show.
And we all assumed Sara was just dumped in the Lazarus Pit like everyone else!
We're also treated to concept art of Oliver's new Arrow Cave, and it looks pretty posh:
Look at little Sim Felicity hanging out in her new office! Of the redesign, EP Marc Guggenheim says:
In designing the new lair, we had to think in terms of the much larger group that Oliver [Stephen Amell] has now surrounded himself with and how Team Arrow is a much bigger enterprise. One of the fun things about this lair is that as opposed to one big space, where everyone would congregate, it’s now a much larger space divided up into smaller spaces.
There is an area for Felicity [Emily Bett Rickards] to work, there is an area for Oliver to work out, and there is a garage. There are many different places we’ll continue to discover over the course of the season that give you a sense that this thing is a bit bigger than we got used to in the first three years.
I hope Felicity can still see the Salmon Ladder from her desk. In the past weeks we've learned that Rutina Wesley, Neal McDonough, Parker Young, Jeri Ryan, JR Bourne, Echo Kellum and Alexander Calvert will be joining the cast this season, so I guess Oliver will need the space.
