Aaron Sorkin To Write Lucille Ball Biopic, Probably Starring Cate Blanchett
This could be great.
According to The Wrap, big fancy-pants writer Aaron Sorkin is going to write a biopic about Lucille Ball that will focus on the 20-year marriage between Ball and Desi Arnaz. The wit is going to hit the fan with this one!
Supposedly, Cate Blanchett is going to take the lead role (whether that means Lucille or Desi is not yet determined), but that is not confirmed. The Wrappers called her people, but they declined to comment. It’d be a good one for her, though. I imagine a movie like this comes preloaded with Oscar nominations galore.
Not much else is known right now, so we’ll have to wait for more details to pour in. Meanwhile, we should all just watch a shitload of I Love Lucy to prepare.
