It's officially the second half of the festival, and we'd like to welcome all of our second half badgeholders! You can tell them apart from the rest of us by how well-rested and hydrated they look. Soon, they'll look just like us: exhausted, hungover, extremely satisfied with life in general.
Day 4 was a total blast with sold-out, wildly enthusiastic screenings of films like Robert Eggers' THE WITCH, our Short Fuse program, Sean Byrne's THE DEVIL'S CANDY with producer Keith Calder in attendance, Karyn Kusama's THE INVITATION from Drafthouse Films and with producer and writer Phil Hay joining her, MAN VS. SNAKE, attended by Andy Seklir and Tim Kinzy and castmembers Tim and Tina McVey and preceded by a gummy snake eating competition, KLOWN FOREVER (just acquired by Drafthouse Films!) with director Mikkel Noregaard and stars Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen, and a repertory screening of FAREWELL UNCLE TOM hosted by Devin along with THE ACT OF SEEING's Nicolas Winding Refn and Alan Jones.
We also had a ton of exciting events, including our annual barbecue run to Smitty's Market in Lockhart, The Meltdown comedy show with Jonah Ray, Kumail Nanjiani, Doug Benson and Emily Gordon, and our yearly pinnacle of mayhem, the Chaos Reigns karaoke party!
Tonight: Nerd Rap and that most bonkers, batshit event of the week, Fantastic Feud! If you want to watch from home, I'll be Periscoping both events, and be sure you're following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
