We're nearing the end of our beautiful chaos, but there's still so much more to go, especially with Fantastic Arcade now in full and glorious effect. Yesterday we kicked off the indie game fest with the opening night party, and you can read the Arcade Day One recap for more scoop. Be sure to visit the Arcade while you're at Fantastic Fest!

We also had the STAR WARS themed cocktail competition in The Highball, with Alamo Drafthouse Beverage Director Bill Norris and a panel of judges selecting a cocktail from a galaxy far, far away to add to the permanent menu. Guests got a taste of the competitors' entries, too!

Day Five brought us the best year yet of one of my personal favorite events: Nerd Rap! Host Henri Mazza brought out more rappers this year than ever before, and every single one of them BROUGHT. IT. Our panel of judges (Mensa of FOKN Bois, who also performed, LAZER TEAM writer Joshua Flanagan and festival PR director Brandy Fons) must have had a monster of a time choosing a winner, but they managed it admirably, with Sean and Natalie - who delivered a killer D&D rap - taking home the grand prize of a bunch of dollar bills shot out of a confetti canon in their general direction. Those two geniuses are pictured directly below.

And finally we had one of the most popular events of Fantastic Fest every year in the Fantastic Feud. Host Scott Weinberg oversaw a Feud first: men vs. ladies! It was a super close bout, but the men eked out a win in the end. There was much shit-talking, Shiner-drinking and all-around anarchy, as with every Feud. But first! Long-time festival attendee bobb x ha won his first Shakey Face competition.

Tonight! The Grand Bazaar Turkish party with Zach Cowie and Elijah Wood DJing as Wooden Wisdom! Be sure to hit that up, and if you're following us from home, check us out on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Periscope
