This is it, my friends. Closing night. What a spirit-boosting, brain-bombarding, heart-stretching week it's been. And we still have a teensy bit of time left, so we're going to relish every goddamn second!
Yesterday we had our annual Geeks Who Drink pub quiz at The Highball, and these geeks sure did some drinking.
We also had the Doug Benson Movie Interruption of Drafthouse Films' ROAR, which was a crazy and pretty silly success.
We were so thrilled to have Fantastic Fest family Kier-La Janisse attend with three of her co-writers of the incredible new book SATANIC PANIC. They gave a great presentation on the widespread occult outrage of the '80s before a 35mm screening of EVIL SPEAK.
And finally we had one of our most popular events, the Karaoke Apocalypse party, in which Fantastic Festers sing karaoke backed by one rowdy-ass live band. People raged. People thrashed. People rocked HARD.
Tonight! The world premiere of BONE TOMAHAWK, followed by our western-themed closing night party. We do have some bummer news: Kurt Russell will no longer be able to attend, due to injury. Fortunately, the rest of the world-class gang - stars Matthew Fox, Patrick Wilson and Richard Jenkins, plus director S. Craig Zahler - will be there, and we are going to have an UNBELIEVABLE time. Here's all the info you need on the closing night party, including the winners of our free tattoo lottery!
