Seems like less than a fortnight ago, Marvel announced a sequel to Ant-Man titled Ant-Man and The Wasp. You may remember that when that happened, Devin claimed Peyton Reed would return to direct the sequel and warned us to expect an official statement reflecting that soon.
Well, according to THR that day has come. Peyton Reed, the guy no one wanted to direct Ant-Man, is in negotiations (he’s asking for $20 million, but they’re offering twice that just because they can) to direct the sequel, which should probably make everyone very happy. We are a funny people.
No word yet on who will write the film, but it probably won’t be Edgar Wright and/or Joe Cornish. Maybe Paul Rudd will 100% rock that out, just for fun.
Ant-Man and The Wasp won’t come out until 2034.
