I’m not going to preamble or make jokes about this one. Let’s get right down to facts.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michelle Rodriguez is going to star in a movie. Exciting! Michelle Rodriguez is going to star in a Walter Hill movie. Even more exciting (though, yes, his last movie wasn't all that great)! Michelle Rodriguez is going to star in a Walter Hill movie about a dude whose enemy gives him to a crazy surgeon (played by Sigourney Weaver) who turns him into a lady. And now he/she’s out for revenge. There aren’t enough bug-eyed emojis to adequately symbolize my excitement for that.
If that last paragraph was too long, this means Rodriguez, who has always been pretty masculine, is playing a guy who gets revenge for getting turned into a lady. Or she's playing the lady he grudgingly becomes, at least. What a perfect, perfect thing. People are going to get so offended and confused at the same time. The think pieces. Imagine the think pieces.
I mean, just look at that title. Tomboy, a Revenger’s Tale. Has there every been a more promising motion picture in the history of cinema?
