Relive The Year’s Highs And Lows With This Supercut Of 2015 Movies

On the one hand, FURY ROAD and SICARIO. On the other hand, TERMINATOR: GENISYS and CHAPPIE.

For the past five years or so, a YouTuber by the name of Sleepy Skunk has kicked off every December with a massive super-edit of trailers, clips, and audio snippets from the year's best (and not-so-best) movies. The clips - which advertise themselves as mash-ups, even if that doesn't feel exactly right - always make for a fun, five-minute time killer, and this year's clip is no exception. Presented in three movements, 2015's compilation is hypnotic, and really illustrates the highs and lows we've experienced in theaters this year. Take a look:

Overall, it feels like 2015 was a great year for film. Creed. Sicario. Mad Max: Fury Road. Anomalisa. Beasts Of No Nation. Bone fucking Tomahawk. I can think of a dozen others off the top of my head that wouldn't feel wasted on a year-end top ten list. Of course the news wasn't all good - you'll catch glimpses of Chappie and Terminator: Genisys and Pixels and The Lazarus Effect in and a dozen other certified stinkers in the clip above - but on the whole, it feels like the good far outweighed the bad.

What do you guys think? Good year, up the middle, or not so much?
