With the release of the Chinese trailer embedded below, I think it's safe to say that we've officially reached the point in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens promotional assault where some people are gonna want to stop watching the trailers (yes, yes, I know - you stopped watching the trailers and reading the news updates months ago; here is your Self-Restraint Award, please display it where others might see it).
This clip - which some Birth.Movies.Death. staffers straight-up refused to watch (which, despite what I'm about to say, is almost certainly the correct course of action here) - doesn't seem to give away any major story beats, but it does contain a ton of new footage we haven't seen yet, and there's a few shots in here that you may prefer to experience in context.
Is it too spoilery? Depends on your outlook, I guess. But whatever: I'm gonna tread very lightly here out of respect for the die-hards, and it's probably better to be safe than sorry.
So here it is. Go ahead and assume everything after the video break to be a spoiler, just in case.
See what I mean? There's a ton of new shots here (BB-8 bouncing around the Falcon! A handcuffed Poe Dameron being led around by a Stormtrooper! The Falcon crash-landing in the snow!) that are great in and of themselves, but they'd almost certainly be better experienced outside the rapid-fire edits of a trailer. That's as far as I'll go in terms of conceding this material to be "spoilery". But like I said above, let's all try and be respectful to one another. We don't get a new Star Wars movie all that often.
That extends to the comments, by the way. Don't be dropping no bombshells on people in the space below. But do feel free to speculate!
