STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS: Iko Uwais And Yayan Ruhian’s Roles Revealed!

A couple of crumbs tumble out of the mystery box.

Of the many secrets in store for us when it comes to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, one of the most curious for movie fans involves the roles played by The Raid’s Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian. We know they don’t have huge parts in the film, but that’s about all we’ve been given so far.

Until now. Someone on Reddit has taken it upon themselves to open the yet to be released visual guide to The Force Awakens and take a photo of the actors in their Star Wars duds:

As you can see, they are not playing unrecognizable aliens. Mad Dog and Rama are going to look just like Mad Dog and Rama, which is awesome. Iko plays a guy named Razoo Qin-Fee, while Yayan’s character is called Tasu Leech. Both appear to be members of a gang called the Kanjiklub, a title that makes my eyes roll just a little. Kanjiklub sounds more like something pizza-faces might call their high school anime group.

In any case, this is wonderful to see, as they both look totally badass and sport some really strange sci-fi guns. They won’t be in the film much, but it’s still incredible that the guys from The Raid get to be in the Star Wars universe. I can’t imagine having them show up and not kicking at least a tiny bit of ass.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary comes out December 18.
