We’ve seen Tina Fey do a lot of wacky stuff, but we’ve never seen her running around explosions or firing a machine gun. Now, thanks to this Whiskey Tango Foxtrot trailer, we can finally check those off the list (anyone who actually has a list of “things I need to see Tina Fey do” should probably be on a list as well):
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot adapts ex-Chicago Tribune reporter Kim Barker’s memoir, The Taliban Shuffle, which details her time in Afghanistan covering the war. According to this trailer, that involves partying like crazy with Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman while also shooting guns with Alfred Molina. Naturally, it also involves getting shot at.
This could be interesting, depending on the tone. It’s mostly fun and games in this trailer, but in a war film like this there’s always an opportunity for stuff to get dark. We’ll see when the film arrives March 4.
