Meet HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD’s Harry, Hermione, and Ron

A lot has changed over the years.

As you probably already know, the Harry Potter saga is going to continue but in the form of a play. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will open in London’s West End, starting with previews in May 2016 and then officially opening July 30.

Which means the time has come for them to cast the show. According to the play’s Twitter account, they’ve done just that:

From left to right, that is your new Ron, Hermione, and Harry. They look very different from what you might expect. Age does weird things to people!

Not that I’ll ever have a chance to see the play, but I love the casting, though going just from this photo I think Ron and Harry could be switched.

Below is a brief synopsis of the play. Obviously I'm jealous of anyone who gets to go see it.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
