Magneto Will Be More Powerful Than Ever In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Ya boy gonna bend and smash all kinds of stuff.

Entertainment Weekly is crushing the superhero game this week: after revealing our first official look at Dr. Strange and The Punisher, they've now revealed some killer new concept art from Fox's upcoming X-Men: Age Of Apocalypse, along with an accompanying interview wherein director Bryan Singer talks about just how powerful the Age Of Apocalypse iteration of Magneto - now a member of Apocalypse's super-exclusive Four Horsemen club - will be:

"One of Apocalypse’s many powers is he can imbue other mutants with greater ones,” says director Bryan Singer.

Case in point: In the concept art image, Singer says, “Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful…. Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before.”

Here's the concept art they're referring to:

Looks pretty cool, I guess. I mean, we have seen Magneto levitate an entire fucking stadium before, so laying waste to...whatever that is (a highway? Chernobyl?) doesn't strike me as all that impressive. I am digging the Fonzie pose he's striking while doing it, though.

X-Men: Age Of Apocalypse arrives on May 27th. As long as Oscar Isaac rules in it, I will be satisfied.
