Since Jon Favreau’s adaptation of The Jungle Book comes out this April, I’m sure we’ll be getting an a big, new trailer soon enough. But until then, we have to take what we can get. Today, we get a new still:
That’s a shot of Mowgli hugging his mommy, Raksha, an all CG wolf played by Lupita Nyong’o, whose actual face I’m starting to miss in movies.
I’m not really looking forward to this film, but I never give up an excuse to write about it for some reason. It’s the most accidental infatuation of my life. Nevertheless, I’m sure it will be beautiful, and I appreciate all the animal-hugging it wants to bring into our lives.
