WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS Follow-up Gets A Snappy Title

It’s about as straightforward as movie titles get.

What We Do in the Shadows is one of my absolute favorite films from 2015. I’ve seen it three times already, and it just keeps getting better. So I’m extremely excited to hear anything about Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s proposed follow-up, even if it’s just a title.

While at Sundance with his new film, Hunt for the Wilderpeople (which looks fantastic) Waititi spoke with CraveOnline and revealed what we can now call this film:

“Jemaine [Clement] and I are trying to write a werewolves spin-off,” Waititi said, adding that it will “most likely be the next thing” after he completes his Marvel duties. “It’s going to be called ‘We’re Wolves,’ like ‘We are wolves.’ We’re Wolves.”

So there you have it. We’re Wolves. Can’t be more straightforward than that.

I’ll watch the film regardless of who’s in it, but I sincerely hope that head werewolf Rhys Darby comes back. In the meantime, Waititi has to make a small-budget buddy road comedy called Thor: Ragnarok, so we still have a bit of time before We’re Wolves gets started.
