TRIPLE 9 Gets Almost Nine Character Posters

Bonus: the Aaron Paul one looks really silly.

Confession: I could not be more in the bag for Triple 9.

John Hillcoat's directing. Both trailers (green-band and red-band) have worked for me. The subject matter (it's a heightened crime drama) is right up my alley. And good lord, this cast is fantastic: Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Woody Harrelson, A-A-Ron Paul, Anthony Mackie, Clifton Collins Jr., Casey Affleck, Norman Reedus...quite frankly, I don't know how anyone would look at this lineup and not get excited.

Open Road Films seems to know they've got something special with this cast, which I'm guessing is why they've gone the "Character Poster" route (an approach that's generally reserved for tentpole superhero movies or animated kids' films) with their latest marketing rollout. Let's take a look, while acknowledging that the Aaron Paul one looks kind of goofy.

OK, so maybe these posters aren't the most exciting thing ever, but I appreciate being reminded that Triple 9 arrives on February 26th. Are you guys as excited about this one as I am, or not so much?

Also, re: the Aaron Paul poster - it's not just me, right?
