Hell Yes: Danny McBride In Talks To Join ALIEN: COVENANT
A few weeks ago, we learned that Noomi Rapace would not be back for Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant. This raised a few questions about the whereabouts of Elizabeth Shaw (Rapace's character from Prometheus), but for the most part the news seemed to be met with a collective shrug.
Now comes some news I can't imagine anyone shrugging over: Danny McBride is in talks to join Alien: Covenant. Holy shit.
There's zero word on what McBride's role might entail. One suspects it'd be a comic relief role, but The Wrap - who broke this story - seems to think otherwise, noting that the role will allow him to "show off his range as a performer".
As we previously reported, Alien: Covenant will revolve around a fresh crew of space travelers as they happen upon a utopian planet that may or may not be filled with biomechanical horrors.
Already onboard the film are Michael Fassbender (reprising his Prometheus role), Katherine Waterson (apparently playing the film's lead), and director Ridley Scott (who will not be working from a Damon Lindelof script this time).
Please take this opportunity to celebrate Danny McBride's existence in the comments below.
